Page 2 of the forge in Progress.

The forge is pretty much done in thses pics. The only thing I will be adding is the metal to the shelf. What is shown is temporary. I will probably add something along each side to hold tongs as well. The final addition is that I may also add some handles and wheels so I can move it around more easily.

UPDATE: I ended up sellign this forge at the Ojai Pirate Faire the first time I took it out. I am in the process of building its replacment now. Go to the New Propane Forge Construction Page for a step by step of how that one is coming along.

Here is a full frontal shot with the front door open.
A shot that shows the plumbing.
Another angled shot that shows the stock holder sticking out also. It will slide in when not needed.

Here it is at 10 psi. I really love this burner. I got it from http://www.hybridburners.com
I can't reccomend it highly enough. I decided not to even fool around trying to build my own. From all my reading it just seemed like they wouldn't work quite as well.

I ran this forge from 10am till 6 pm on Sat, then from 10am till 2pm on Sunday off of one 5 gal tank. It is a very efficient burner.

I took this basic forge design from
Larry Zoellers site. Go to: http://www.geocities.com/zoellerforge/
He also sells many of the parts needed to construct a propane forge.

The other site that was a tremendous help as I tried to figure out how to build my forge was Ron Reils site. He has done a lot of work developing forge and burner designs. His page is at: http://www.reil1.net/design1.shtml
Here is a page with pictures of forges others have built using some ideas they got from here. They might give you some ideas as well.
